Thank you for being a voice of reason! I’ve had not one but TWO different therapists tell me - right in front of my ADHD/ASD 12 year old daughter - that we were wrong to question our child’s identity (despite this being a textbook case of ROGD in a child with known history of mimicking the behaviors & attitudes of those around her) & that we needed to get on board with “his” identity or “he” would become suicidal. It’s taken some time to undo the damage (to our relationship & to my daughter’s safety & sense of self) caused by these so-called “professionals.”
